Jammeh Says The Gambia Is Not A Secular Nation

Gambia’s President Yahya Jammeh has vowed to teach a nasty lesson to his neighbors, the government of President Macky Sall of Senegal by threatening to clampdown on Senegalese businesses and interest in the Gambia. The controversial Gambian President speaking in an exclusive interview with the state controlled media GRTS’s Aidy Fatty, in commemoration of his nineteen years military revolution, Jammeh said the relationship between Senegal and the Gambia unfortunately in Mr. Jammeh’s own views “is a one Way street diplomacy” with Senegal becoming the main economic benefactor at the same time harboring his enemies plotting to set his country on fire. Mr. Jammeh has since ordered for the arrest of Senegalese expertrates and business owners residing in the Gambia on the basis of not paying taxes and their financial obligation to his already bankrupt regime.
